Mars Runner - Mini-Review
We ran beyond an interesting race game for your Windows Phone. Mars Runner is a sci-fi based race game that has you speeding around the big cherry-red planet. The story line goes that the year is 2323 and humans have wearied all of Earth's resource. In an attempt to preserve life, the Planetary Governing Council (PGC) has decided to brainstorm the colonization of other planets. After much deliberation, Mars was chosen as their best take chances for a successful colonization. In social club to ensure the safety of hereafter colonists, PGC has sent out a troop of ships to scan the surface of Mars for habitable regions. Your mission is to aid PGC with the colonization by helping with their surface scanning efforts.
You lot travel the surface avoid rocks and other obstacles. Y'all steer your spotter send by tilting the phone left or correct and pressing down on the screen will slow time down to allow you to make the more riskier twists and turns. The game also includes side missions to earn trophies and awards.
Game features include:
- 3D graphics
- Interactive game controls to maneuver ship using the telephone'due south accelerometer
- Background music, sound effects, and vibration on collisions
- Global loftier score system with rankings
- Achievement trophies for best times and impressive statistics
First impressions, Mars Runner is graphically impressive and the game pace challenging. It would have been dainty if the developer had added laser cannons or photon torpedoes to eliminate some of the obstacles. I mean what's a space send without canons. The only downside to Mars Runner that I could find is the ad banner. It doesn't obstruct the game view only just feels out of place (upper correct corner of the screen). I would gladly spend $.99 for an ad-free version.
Mars Runner is a free game and would be a proficient addition to your Windows Phone game library. You can download your copy of Mars Runner here (opens Zune) at the Marketplace.
